My wife asked me to develop this application. She is plagued with chronic pain. She has been to doctor after doctor to find the cause of this pain. Additionally, she regularly goes to different specialists to manage her pain. She asked me to create an application to keep track of all her doctors, all her appointments, all her medication and all her pain. It was the least I could do so I set out to create this application. In short, this application is a labor of love. One of the things I have noticed as I have accompanied her to many of her appointments is that the PA at the doctor''s office is the Physician''s Assistant but there was no Patient''s Assistant. There should be something to help the patient take ownership of their health and their recovery. That is what this application is intended to do: be the Patient''s Assistant. The PA is a Palm OS application that allows a person to keep a record of doctors and appointments with those doctors. It keeps track of medication you are taking, have taken, and are allergic to. It also keeps a written and visual record of pain you have experienced.
