PalmOSler was the first handheld patient-tracking application that may have been truly faster than pen and paper. This PalmOS5-compatible set of applets has been significantly upgraded, and PalmOSler 2 features the ability to store digital photos of patients, record on-the-fly dictations, assign CPT and ICD10 codes to patients, and write and print chart-ready notes. Like the original version, PalmOSler 2 remains specifically designed to take full advantage of HanDBase 3.0's capabilities, including on-screen keypads, pop-ups to enable easy and rapid data entry, color-coded forms, alarms, and infrared synchronization and printing. Forms have been redesigned and refined so that all patient information is reachable within a few clicks. Fields include medications, allergies, events, H&P's, and procedures. PalmOSler 2 still has a built-in age calculator to determine "day of life", as well as an I's and O's calculator to deal with those bedside charts which haven't been totaled up before morning rounds. Companion applets include PalmOSler Labs, which features familiar "stick figure" lab formats, and PalmOSler Devices, which has extensive fields to track how long patients have had virtually every indwelling device (Foley, intracranial bolts, etc.)
