Publisher's Description:Ob-Gyn Helper © is a set of practical databases for the obstetrician gynecologist. It has five databases for organizing one's clinical work data. Since it is carried on one's Palm based PDA, it is accessible on rounds, in the office, in the delivery room, and at home on call. The databases require the popular J-File program for their use. The first database, Obstetric Patients Due,is a list of pregnant women due in one's practice or clinic. It is available when one does not have access to the complete obstetric record, such as on call. Information that can be included due date, blood type, blood glucose screening results, group B streptococcus carrier status, to name a few. The second database, Delivery Records, lists completed deliveries. One has the ability to input information about the type of delivery, birth weight, complications, etc. for future reference, billing or oral boards. The third database, Gynecologic Surgeries,lists surgical procedures. One inputs information about the type of surgery, indications, length of stay. This information is useful for future reference, billing, or oral boards. The fourth database, Ob Gyn Round List, compiles a patient list for organizing rounds. Information about hospital, room number, diagnosis, and date of admission are entered. Using J-File's abilities such information can be sorted in a way that is most useful for the individual clinician, such as by name or room number. Also, such information is beamable,that is passed on from one doctor to another, as the baton is passed on and off call. The last database, Ob Gyn To Do List,is a simple way of recording daily tasks to be accomplished. This includes laboratory tests or x-ray results that need follow up or patients that need to be called.
